Another very successful year for the club.

The ladies had finalists in the St Albans & District competitions but were ultimately the runners up in both the Double Rink and Champion of Champions.

However at the Watford and District ladies’ finals Kings Langley players were successful in 3 out of their 5 matches. They won the Triples, 2 Wood Triples and Pairs and were runners up in the singles and champion of champions. Well done everyone and thanks to all the supporters who braved the fierce sun to give encouragement to the competitors.

Not to be out done the men won their section of the County Division, progressed through semi finals against Met Police but lost to a very strong Garston side in the Divisional finals.

Both men and ladies played so well together in a series of matches against Berkhamsted, Potten End, Tring, Hemel Hempstead, Kitcheners, and Bovingdon that the club won the Dacorum Charity Shield competition.

John Bates of SWR Installations, the main sponsor of the competition attended the club’s presentation dinner to hand over the shield. He also presented the club with cheques from SWR Installations and Dacorum Sports Network. It was our pleasure to forward this money to the Hospice of St Francis, our chosen charity for this competition.
